Overclocking
Here we'll take a look at the overclocking performance of the 6200. NVIDIA’s “CoolBit’s” utility doesn’t have automatic overclocking detection settings for the 6200 so in this instance we’ve manually overclocked the board using the sliders in CoolBits. As ever, these results are merely representative of the results achieved by this particular sample available to us and not necessarily indicative of results on a wide scale basis.
The 6200 board achieved fairly exceptional overclocks – a core speed increase to 560MHz, representing an 87% increase from the default 300MHZ, and a more modest 31% increase for the RAM to 360MHZ (720MHz effective).

The Half Life 2 test we are using is fairly Pixel Shader intensive and we see that the performance increases under Normal rendering with HL2 are close to the clockspeed increase. All the other test performance are tempered down from the 87% increase in fill-rate and Vertex capabilites the increased core clock rate brings because they also place a lot of stress on the memory bandwidth which isn't increased by as much, but the gains are still very large.
