ArcSoft Announces Support for NVIDIA® PureVideo™ HD Technology
Digital Theatre Player Implements Latest, Award-Winning Technology from NVIDIA
Berlin, Germany - August 31, 2007 - ArcSoft, Inc. announced that the ArcSoft Digital Theatre™ 2 video player now takes advantage of the PureVideo™ HD technology found in the NVIDIA GeForce® 7 and 8 Series of GPUs, including the latest GeForce 8400, GeForce 8500, and GeForce 8600 GPUs. Digital Theatre 2 is a breakthrough player that supports both HD DVD and Blu-ray playback, plus DVD movies and a variety of multimedia files. NVIDIA PureVideo HD technology is a combination of high-definition movie decode acceleration and post-processing, HDCP circuitry, and integration with high-definition movie players like Digital Theatre. PureVideo HD technology helps deliver the ultimate Blu-ray and HD DVD movie experience on PCs and notebook computers.
