Had the day off yesterday, due to Hurricane Sandy, and had a lineup of single player games at my disposal, in the event of an internet outage. It eventually happened at 10:30 PM, so I loaded up Dishonored. The game is great fun, but it's the worst offender of console gaming. A lot, I mean a lot of the textures are low resolution, even at their highest setting, and the interface is way too simple. The game play is cool, though. Heaps of interesting ways to kill someone, and the world is pretty immersive.
I also bought Mists of Pandaria and have to admit it's a lot of fun. Even the clerk at Gamestop, who I'm friends with personally, told me as I was buying it "It's actually really fun," as if I was hesitant about my decision, and about to buy some $60 paperweight. I've been exclusively playing Warriors for something like 4 years now, and I've seen the classes evolve in all sorts of ways. I was skeptical about the MoP talent system, but now that I've gotten the hang of it, it turned out to be a lot of fun. For anyone who's still playing my little word of advice is Titan's Grip and Bladestorm is probably the most overpowered combination in the entire game. Anyone who was a fan of the series and looking for a reason to delve back into the universe, I highly recommend MoP. I will literally play this game until they shut the servers down, so I'm always game for new content. I've never canceled my subscription, and don't plan on it any time soon. Blizzard should mail me a cake or something for being so reliable.

I'm honestly disappointed with Guild Wars 2...haven't played it for more than an hour in 2-3 weeks. Definitely not going back to WoW though. Not this time.

Borderlands 2 is the best game I've played in a long time. Probably the best since Borderlands 1
This time I am playing co-op with my brother and that adds a whole new layer to it.

XCOM on classic difficulty. Some minor annoyances but the game is fun. One question to the devs: why is 2/3 of the install size taken up by BINK files? Not enough time to mocap and do the cutscenes properly? MEH!

Warfighter...the new one. I guess I am almost through the campaign...maybe finish it tonight. What is remarkable imo: I think that the car driving passages are very well implemented. I would love to see a next gen Motorstorm on PS4 with those graphics and effects as MoH provides during those sections!

Tokyo Jungle was finally eclipsed by Dragon's Dogma. Shockingly deep for a JRPG, and shockingly strategic for an aRPG. Impressed!

Been trying to get through my lengthy list of games I bought on Steam for when I built a new PC. Just finished Crysis 2, which was quite boring to play but visually amazing. Some of the cinematic sequences were just incredible in realtime.
Now onto AvP for some more FPS fun. It's great being able to play these titles at max detail.

After disconnecting my G13, Darksiders accepted to notice my MS Gamepad so I can at last try the game. It is quite pleasant.
I'm just upset about those quick & dirty consoles ports who can't find a pad between a G13 and a joystick... that's really silly.

Natural Selection 2. An old school fps combined with strategy elements. Great fun.

Just finished Dishonored.... really enjoyed this title. It had 'great atmosphere' (just like Half-Life 2) which other games lack.

Wife picked up Dishonored and Sleeping Dogs for $30ea black friday (PS3 versions though...) so I'll eventually check them out.
Actually started playing Assassins Creed on my PC since I have upgraded components and a xbox controller now. Playing it on the big TV with some nice AA. Going to go through the series up to 3.

Yeah I think I got the first two (Assassin's Creed and Far Cry 3?), but I have no clue about IV..?? For all I know it may be representing the Roman numeral 4, which still leaves me clueless.
BTW unless it's super obvious what you're talking about it's good to spell out your acronyms at least once in the thread before using them..

I'm about 8 hours into Rage and having a really good time with it. Maybe things were different at launch but I don't really understand where all the hate is coming from. The 8k texture tweak helped with muddy textures but otherwise it works great out of the box.
The shooting mechanics are solid. The environment and characters look great. Voice acting is good. I thought the driving element was well done. The weakest point has to be the story. It's non-existent. Other than that it's a fun game.

Two or so hours into Far Cry 3 ... liking it so far. The thematics are basically just another teen movie, but it's a fun, good looking open-world shooter with dynamic day-night cycles, etc. It's a surprisingly polished game, and surprisingly gamey at times, but the sense of freedom (though at times marred by 'mission borders') is pretty good.
