David Kanter from Real World Technologies has just posted another great article detailing the challenges that semiconductor manufacturers think they will face at the 22nm node. His article reports on what the major industry players (which included Global Foundries, IBM, Intel, Renesas and TSMC) said during a recent panel discussion at the International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC). Ultimately David concludes that the manufacturers feel the 22nm node will likely be an evolutionary step from the 32nm node. Head on over to RWT for, as always, an informative article!
